If you run a Historical Society or other local interest group it is likely you will seek a public speaker from time to time, this site is here to help bridge the divide a give you access to finding good speakers.

To make the site useful, as in its present state only the Yorkshire area is covered, we need to get speakers from across the country, and because this is being undertaken at no charge to anyone the rollout has to be incremental. If we can get sufficient speakers on board then over time speaker finders will start to make use of it, the effect of so called 'viral marketing' will raise the awareness.

The information collected on this site is used only for the purpose of promoting the speakers listed here and making there information, which is generally in the public domain anyway more accessible to specialist groups, such as archaeological societies and history groups.
